The relatively young company behind the renovation of this family home was committed to doing an ‘awesome job’ for its clients.

The work consisted of a partial roof structure removal and rebuild with portal and beams to achieve a high skillion ceiling. The rest of the house underwent a partial reconfiguration and full renovation. An internal access stairwell was added for easier access. The indoor-outdoor flow has been enhanced thanks to large slider stackers at the front. These lead to a welcoming deck space that makes the most of views out over ever-changing Cook Strait.

At the rear of the four-bedroom home, the smaller sliders lead to a breakfast deck with bush views up Plimmerton’s Airlie Road valley. The light-filled kitchen is a study in white and timber. It is large enough for all of the family to help with meal preparation and has more of those big views. As well as the four bedrooms, there are two bathrooms and two living rooms, one of which has a wood fire for cosy winter nights indoors.
