Glover Homes - 2015

“I started my construction career straight out of school as an apprentice, so I’ve been building for close to 30 years now, and I still love it! The construction industry is such a dynamic game to be in, where every day is different. I’ve been fortunate to build some stunning architect designed homes over the years and meet some equally amazing people.

I started my own company in 1999 and we have grown from an initial 3-man gang to a team of 20 plus now. The main highlight of my career would most definitely be winning the Supreme National Renovation Award in 2015. We took the whole team along to the awards, plus the owners - what a night it turned out to be!

One of my favourite projects was a major renovation of a beautiful beach front property on the North Shore, a turnkey project. The owners were very particular and wanted everything constructed to perfection. We not only virtually rebuilt the home, but we arranged for all the furniture to be installed, the artwork hung on the walls, right through to the pantry and fridge filled.

The owners flew in on Friday afternoon and met me at the house; where I gave them the keys, showed them how everything worked and they then sat down for their first dinner in the house - a 3 course meal, all prepared in advance.
