Parsons Construction's Story 2020

This year we are celebrating 30 Years of House of the Year! Over the next few months we are going to be shining a light on some of the people who have played a massive part in the competition. Keep an eye out on our channels as our members share some of their best memories as a builder.

“It’s a privilege to build our clients dream homes, and surprisingly I enjoy the challenges that go along with it.
One of my favourite projects was building a house for one of our closest friends. It was an extremely challenging build and we went through the highs and lows together. We are still friends to this day, despite the usual warning about working with or for friends and family!

I started Parsons Construction in 2003 and it has grown from an initial four employees and one team to the current day where we have four teams. I love the work that we do and feel that we have hit the sweet spot in terms of the relationships that we have built with Architects and clients.

Winning the Master Builders Canterbury Supreme Award in 2016 was definitely a highlight. I think that the exposure from winning an award is well recognised by potential clients, architects and others involved in the industry. The sense of achievement and pride that you feel as a business owner is also huge.” Nick Parsons, Parsons Construction
