This project was the “game-changer” the builders had always dreamed of. When an out-of-town architect contacted the team wanting them to build a special home on a beachfront section, they jumped at the chance. The results bear testimony to the enthusiasm, skills and craftsmanship shown by Framed Builders, who have constructed a remarkable, bespoke four-bedroom home with views over the dunes to the Pacific Ocean. “Colossal amounts” of cedar clad all three levels of the home. Placed at varying angles, they create a striking exterior aesthetic. Each of the three levels is designed to capture natural light and the expansive outlook. As the 312sqm project developed, so did the budget– a result of owner-requested extras, such as a swimming pool. The pool was a challenging last-minute addition for the team, who took it all in their stride. Fitted out with natural materials and organic hues, the interior is in harmony with its environment. Dovetailed timber features, swathes of glass, accents of concrete and black, and framed views of sea and surf leave you in no doubt that this is luxury beachside living. Low-e glass and solar roof panels ensure this impressive home is economical to run.
