Housing projects of this scale can easily become anonymous, but this mixed development focuses just as strongly on community and wellbeing as it does on construction. Spread across two neighbouring sites, the project delivers five two-storey terrace homes alongside a three-storey apartment building containing 15 one-bedroom units. Created as long-term housing for vulnerable residents, the development prioritises practicality, resilience and ease of living. The terrace homes provide two bedrooms, one bathroom and one living area, while the apartments introduce a denser housing format, without sacrificing natural light or outdoor access. Shared lawns, gardens, parking and cycle facilities help foster a genuine sense of neighbourhood.

Architecturally, the project leans into robust, low-maintenance materials chosen for longevity and performance. Rendered plaster, profiled steel and brick cladding combine to create a cohesive streetscape, while prefabricated and prefinished materials reduce ongoing maintenance demands. Warm red accents break up the neutral palette. Sustainability was also a major consideration of this build: the project achieved a 7 Homestar Design rating and is progressing towards a 6 Homestar Built rating. More than a straightforward residential development, the project balances durability, dignity and long-term community connection.
