Premium results don’t depend on significant structural change and the renovation of this high-end Auckland apartment is a case in point. This was a project in which thoughtful design and precise execution transformed a home within its existing footprint. The two-bedroom, two-bathroom, 178sqm apartment is now refined, cohesive, high-spec and utterly lovely. Nowhere is the metamorphosis more evident than in the open-plan living space anchored by a designer kitchen. It’s a symphony of natural muted tones featuring American white oak veneer cabinetry, mitred stone for a strong sculptural presence, and clean lines created by integrated appliances and storage. Layered lighting enhances depth and textures.
This quality of materials and crafting extends into every centimetre of the apartment, including meticulously detailed bathrooms with large-format tiles, frameless glass and bespoke vanities, and a built-in study wall with concealed storage and integrated services. Sustainability was addressed by choosing smart design over structural intervention and this significantly reduced materials and building waste. For the build team, the project represented a way to minimise embodied carbon while achieving high-end results. Intuitive future-focused technology was incorporated into the home without interrupting the uncluttered aesthetic. This skilful reimagining sets a benchmark for thoughtful, sophisticated renovations
