Replacing a long-held family home with two standalone residences, this mixed development balances investment practicality with the personal requirements of multi-generational living. The original dwelling was removed to make way for a pair of contemporary homes designed to serve different purposes. Positioned to the rear, the larger residence was conceived as the owners’ forever home — a five-bedroom, four-bathroom property tailored to extended family life. The dwelling at the front provides an additional income stream, while complementing the overall architectural language of the development.

Across both homes, the design focuses on space, functionality and flexibility. Open-plan living and dining areas create spacious communal zones. Generous kitchens are designed to support busy households, while the family home also has a separate scullery. The upper level of the main residence provides a private retreat, with the main bedroom designed with a large ensuite and walk-in wardrobe. Throughout both homes, clean-lined cabinetry, layered lighting and contemporary finishes contribute to a polished yet highly liveable environment. Although substantial in scale — spanning a combined 495sqm — the project avoids feeling imposing. This development is designed not simply for immediate impact, but for the evolving needs of family life over many years.
